Our intensive and comprehensive English Language curriculum is designed to immerse our students into an English-rich environment.

Curriculum

Objectives:

We adopt a thematic approach and our curriculum encompasses themes that are suitable and relevant to students of different levels. Students are exposed to reading and writing of different text types and school-based assignments are designed to suit our students.

We believe that the most effective way of learning the English language is to use the language in an authentic situation. That is why we have the native English-speaking teachers in our school. Miss Michelle, our NET teacher, focuses on improving students’ spoken English as well as their confidence. Through various activities such as role playing and other forms of interactions, she encourages the students to use English in a natural way that will be useful for them in everyday life.

Our school integrates phonics and high frequency words as part of our curriculum. We believe these elements can help students read with increased interest, confidence and proficiency at an early stage. The phonic lessons are conducted by our part-time NET, Miss Vivian.
